13. Cold mirror assembly
13.1 Diagnostic
General
The easiest way to check the condition of the cold mirror is by removing the lamp unit. See owners manual of the projector for the
lamp removal procedure.
When the lamp unit is removed, the cold mirror becomes visible at the end of the lamp compartment.
Possible damages:
• Cold mirror is broken, replace with new one.
• Coating peels off, replace with new one.
• Cold mirror is dirty due to the ambient conditions. Clean the mirror with alcohol, replacement is not necessary.
In all these cases, the light output on the screen can be lower than the normal light output.
