3. Troubleshooting
Situation Solution
Disconnected wire unit.
Reconnect the wire unit of the fan. Check if the wire unit of the fan is plugged into its
socket on the backplane.
Blocked fan. Unblock the fan. Ensure that the fan can turn freely.
Damaged wire unit.
Check if the wire unit of the fan is not damaged. Repair if possible, otherwise replace
with new one.
Fan end of life. Replace the fan. See procedure "Replacing the mains input fan", page 268.
Error 7928 : “Overtemp”
Extreme overheating of DMD’s or lamp.
Situation Solution
Ambient temperature too high
Check the ambient temperature. Make sure that the ambient temperature does not
exceed 40°C. Be aware that room heat rises to the ceiling.
Blocked filters Check all high density filters. Replace filthy filters with new ones.
Error 7929 : “SMPS HS high temp”
Temperature on the heat sink of the primary circuit of the SMPS unit is too high. This error may be preceded by a warning.
Situation Solution
Ambient temperature too high.
Check the ambient temperature. Make sure that the ambient temperature does not
exceed 40°C. Be aware that room heat rises to the ceiling.
Blocked front filter. Replace the high density filter at the front side of the projector with a new one.
Malfunction SMPS module. Replace the SMPS module.
Error 7931 : “PFC HS high temp”
This error may be preceded by a warning.
Situation Solution
Ambient temperature too high.
Check the ambient temperature. Make sure that the ambient temperature does not
exceed 40°C. Be aware that room heat rises to the ceiling.
Blocked front filter. Replace the high density filter at the front side of the projector with a new one.
Malfunction SMPS module. Replace the SMPS module.
Error 7934 : “FIB not inserted well”
Situation Solution
The Formatter Interface Board (FIB)
is not correctly installed
Check if the Formatter Interface Board (FIB) is properly installed. Ensure that both
fixation screws of the FIB are fastened. See procedure "Installing the light processor",
page 106.
Error 7935 : “Engine not well inserted”
Situation Solution
The light processor is not correctly
installed
Check if the light processor is properly installed. Ensure that both fixation screws at the
foot of the light processor are fastened. Check if the formatter interface board is well
inserted and secured. See procedure "Installing the light processor", page 106.
Error 7936 : “Tilt”
This is a warning.
