Figure 4.6. Display Example of a Well-tuned Probe

At frequencies, where the probe is not matched to 50 Ohms, the curve will lift off

the zero line. If tuned to a frequency within SFO1+/-WBSW/2, but ≠ SFO1, the

probe response will be off center.

N.B.: Fake resonances may appear which do not shift with probe tuning. It is al-

ways a good idea to keep track which nucleus was tuned last so it is clear what di-

rection to tune to. Usually, turning the tuning knob counter clockwise (looking from

below) will shift to higher tuning frequency.
