Gate Timer
Sets the Inhibit Gate Delay value by selecting from a list of options ranging from
100 ms to 700 ms in 100 ms increments, or No Gate Delay (value is 0).
Mode
Sets up the mode of operation for counters: automatic or manual.
Automatic mode will automatically latch and clear the counter data when
the preset elapsed time parameter is reached. The counter data is placed
into a buffer to be retrieved at a later time.
Manual mode requires that you manually latch the counters, then fetch the
data, and finally clear the counters, in order to obtain the counter data.
You may instead latch and clear the counters and retrieve the data.
Sample interval
Defines the sampling rate, in milliseconds. Default value is 100 ms.
Test Pulser
Enables or Disables the Test Pulser on GP I/O 3. Allows you to use a test pulser, and
both counters will then display the counts acquired from the test pulser.
When enabled, signals received on GPIO3 BNC connector will be routed to Counters
1 and 2. When disabled, GPIO1 and GPIO2 will be monitored for incoming counts
separately for Counters 1 and 2, respectively.
Sync. Clock Source
The Synchronization Clock Source is enabled only when External Sync Status
(see MCA Settings | External Synchronization) is set to Independent.
If External Synchronization is set to Independent, the Sync. Clock Source then iden
-
tifies the clock source used when external synchronization is Enabled. Options are In
-
ternal or External, as follows:
Internal means that the clock source is the internal 1µs clock.
External means that the clock source is defined by the External Sync input.
Enable
Enables (On) or disables (Off) use of Counters.
Enabling the counters will change the webpage to display the status of the counters
and the last counter buffer entry. The Start Time, the Elapsed Time and the current
Count status are displayed. The Count data is presented in table form, and is automati
-
cally updated every 100ms. You will not need to perform a page refresh.
