Audit
Enables/disables ability to modify the audit log features. This capability is found under
Maintenance | Audit Logs, discussed starting on page 135.
Presets
Enables/disables ability to change presets. Various presets are offered under MCA
Settings | Acq Setup, and are dependent on your detector. Presets are discussed start

ing on page 78.
Input Definition
Enables/disables ability to change input definition settings. These settings are accessed
using MCA Settings | Inputs, discussed starting on page 77.
DSO
Enables/disables ability to view the digital storage oscilloscope (DSO). The use
of the DSO is browser-dependent. More information is provided at the Lynx menu se
-
lection of MCA Settings | Digital Oscilloscope.
Note The DSO is discussed in greater detail in Chapter Five.
Backup & Restore
Enables/disables ability to perform backup and restore the Lynx system. This capabil-
ity is accessed from Maintenance | Backup & Restore, discussed starting on page
132.
Take Over
Enables/disables ability to take over an input owned by other users. This user opera
-
tion is discussed on page 67.
An Input and the real-time acquisition are 'owned' by a user when an acquisition is
started. That input becomes 'locked' and other users are advised that it is currently be
-
ing used by the presence of the "Lock" button on the spectrum page, next to the Input
selection.
This option enables the Unlock button for a user, found on the Spectrum page when
viewing an input. Only those users with the Unlock button active (not grayed out) may
interrupt another user's acquisition.
Diagnostics
Enables/disables the ability to run several diagnostic tests on the Lynx system hard

ware. Diagnostics is then accessed from the Maintenance | Diagnostics menu, dis

cussed starting on page 137.
