Restore
The system parameters (i.e., network settings, system information, etc...) may be
stored in a backup file which the Lynx system may later be 'restored' from. You must
have a copy of this file.
Note
Restore will cause the Lynx system to reboot as part of the process.
You must have a backup file to restore from. Restore will copy the settings stored lo
-
cally (once uploaded properly) to the device when you press Execute.
Note During this process, the XML file name will change.
The Restore steps are as follows:
•
Click the Select button.
•
Using the File selection dialog, choose the backup file that you saved from a
previous backup.
• Press the Upload button. The backup file's data will be uploaded to the local
device in preparation for the restore process. No changes are made yet.
• When the file has successfully transferred, press the Restore device Execute
button (not the Execute button in the Reset area). If you choose to NOT go
through with the Restoration at this point, you may Abort or close the window,
and the upload will not be implemented.
• Once the restore is complete the Lynx will reboot.
Reset
The reset option allows you to reset the Lynx system to the factory default values.
CAUTION Selecting a Reset option (by pressing its Execute button) will
cause the system to perform that reset immediately. Execute
a Reset option only if this is what it intended.
You can reset to factory defaults for the following:
•
Current input only
•
All inputs
•
System only - resets the Network, Security, System, etc. settings.
The Reset operation will cause the Lynx Menu to refresh upon completion. After re
-
setting you may also need to reboot the device.
