5.8.6 Others (Scan Mode Settings)
This section describes how to make other settings.
Others allows you to set the following items:
1. Scan Service
Set whether or not to use scanner features.
Select Disabled or Enabled.
(Default is Enabled.)
2. Guest Mail Transmission
This item can be set when Mail Scan is installed.
Set whether or not unauthorized users are allowed to send mail.
Enter the setting values using the numeric keypad referring to the table below.
(Default is 0 or Disabled.)
When the Guest mode is used, available features are limited. For details, see “Part 2 Scanner” of the
User Guide (Printer/Scanner).
3. Memory Full Procedure
Set the processing method when the scanner runs out of memory during scanning of documents. Set
whether or not to enable documents stored so far.
Enter the setting values using the numeric keypad referring to the table below.
(Default is 0 or Disabled.)
4. Maximum stored pages
Set the maximum number of pages stored to memory when scanning documents. You can set any
number of pages within the range 1 to 999.
Enter the number of pages on the numeric keypad.
(Default is 999.)

0 Sending of mail by unauthorized users is disabled.
1 Sending of mail by unauthorized users is enabled.
