7.3 Multicast MAC Address Configuration Example
I. Network requirements
The S6506 connects two hosts: Host1 and Host2. Add a multicast MAC address to
send the multicast packets with multicast MAC address 0100-0000-0001 only to Host1
and the multicast packets with multicast MAC address 0100-0000-0002 only to Host2.
Specific configuration task:
z Configure Host1 and Host2 into VLAN2.
z Link Host1, with IP address 3.3.3.2, to the S6506 through port 4/0/1.
z Link Host2, with IP address 3.3.3.3 to the S6506 through port 4/0/2.
