Chapter 3 Device management
3.1 Device Management Overview
With the device management function, the Ethernet Switch can display the current
running state and event debugging information about the slots, thereby implementing
the maintenance and management of the state and communication of the physical
devices. In addition, there is a command available for rebooting the system, when
some function failure occurs.
The device management configuration task is simple. As far as a user concerned, it is
mainly the display and debug the device management.
3.2 Device Management Configuration
3.2.1 Reboot Ethernet Switch
It would be necessary for users to reboot the Ethernet switch when failure occurs.
Perform the following configuration in user view.

3.2.2 Reset a Card
It would be necessary to reset card of Ethernet switch when failure occurs.
Perform the following configuration in user view.

Reset a card of Ethernet switch reboot [ slot slot-num ]
The parameter slot-num ranges from 0 to 6. 0 indicates to reset the SRPU, taking the
same effect as resetting the switch system. 1 through 6 indicates to reset the LPU 1
through 6 respectively.
