User Sample Bank IDs
Underthehood,theKRONOSkeepstrackofUser
SampleBanksbyaspecialIDsavedintheKSCfile.
ThisletsthesystemfindandrecognizetheUser
SampleBankifyouchangethenameorlocationonthe
disk,andevenifit’susedonanotherKRONOS
altogether.
AnIDisi
nitiallyassignedwhenthesamplesare
createdinSamplingMode.ThisIDstayswiththedata
aslongasyouloadandsaveusingKSCs—evenifyou
savetoadifferentlocation,orwithadifferentname.It
alsostayswiththedataregardlessofwhetherit’s
loadedasaUserSampleBan
k,orloadedinto
SamplingModeforediting.
Itwillnotbepreserved,however,ifyouloadorsave
individualSamplesorMultisamples.
Iftherearemultiplefilesoninternaldiskswiththe
sameID,theonewiththemostrecentmodification
dateonewillbeused.KSCsonUS
