Setting Up Password Protection
By default, password protection is disabled. Two actions are required to
enable password protection: creating/modifying a password and selecting a
security level. The length of time the system stays unlocked after a password
has been entered is also editable.
NOTE: If you forget a password, refer to Resetting the Passwords in
Section7, Troubleshooting.
To create or modify a password
1.. From the Home screen, touch Master Controls > System > Password
> Create/Modify. Refer to Table4‐21 for default and optional settings.
2.. Touch Done.
To view or change the password timeout setting
1.. From the Home screen, touch Master Controls > System > Password
> Timeout. Refer to Table4‐21 for default and optional settings.
2.. Touch Done.
To enable password protection
1.. From the Home screen, touch Master Controls > System > Password
> Set Security Level. Refer to Table4‐21 for default and optional
settings.
2.. Touch Done.
When password protection is enabled, the Home screen indicates
Password: Enabled and the Enter Password—Level [#] pop-up screen
appears for password‐protected tasks.
