Connect Hoses and Applicators
The Freedom melter supports the connection of up to four Freedom
hose/applicator pairs. Each hose/applicator receptacle supports the
connection of one hose/applicator pair.
WARNING! Risk of fire or equipment damage. Before connecting hoses and
applicators to the melter, confirm that the power required by the hoses and
the applicators does not exceed the maximum wattages specified in
Appendix A, Calculating Melter Power Requirements.
NOTE: If a non‐Nordson component is installed, the control system displays
the following information:
Non-Nordson component detected:
System settings not optimized.
UL system certification not supported.
Nordson obtains UL certification of systems by designing, testing, and
certifying that components are compliant to UL standards, thus ensuring
the safest operation. Installation of unrecognized devices voids this
certification.
