Part 1123087_02
3/2014 Nordson Corporation
Connect an Air Supply to the Melter
To achieve maximum adhesive output, the system must be connected to an
air supply that is capable of providing a maximum of 6.2 bar (90 psi) of dry,
non‐lubricated air.
CAUTION! Risk of equipment damage. Do not force the pump air pressure
adjustment screw beyond its normal range of adjustment. Doing so will
damage the pneumatic assembly.
See Figure 3‐26.
1. Use a 5‐mm hex wrench to turn the pump air pressure adjustment
screw(1) counterclockwise until it stops (off).
2. Insert the male fitting on the outlet side of the air filter assembly(3)
(P/N1121428 from the ship‐with kit) into the air inlet port (2) on the
melter.
CAUTION! Risk of equipment damage. Connecting a heavy air supply line to
the air filter can damage the equipment.
3. Rigidly support the plant air supply line and connect it to the air filter
assembly inlet. Refer to Table 3‐4 to determine the fitting required based
on the type of air supply line being connected.
