Connect a Fill System Status Output (Optional)
A fill system status output is available on the fill board. The output provides a
signal to indicate if the fill system is operating normally or if there is a fill
alert/fault. The fill system status output contact is rated at 30 VDC, 1 A
maximum.
See Figure 3‐25.
1. Route a signal cable from the control equipment to the melter and
through the SL‐16 strain relief (4) on the bottom of the melter.
NOTE: Use a signal cable suitable for NEC class 1 remote control and
signaling circuits. To reduce the possibility of electrical shorting, route the
cable so that it does not touch nearby circuit boards.
2. Connect the cable wires to the appropriate terminals on connector
P/N266903 (1) from the ship‐with kit. See Figure3‐25 for the terminal
positions.
NOTE: To generate a 24 VDC signal from the potential‐free contacts,
connect 24 VDC to the COM contact and then use the appropriate NC or
NO contact for the 24 VDC signal.
3. Plug the connector into terminal TB1 (2) on the fill board (3).
4. Reinstall the controls cover. Refer to Removing or Installing Covers in
Section 6, Maintenance, as needed.
