Mounting the Melter on a Vertical Surface
CAUTION! Risk of equipment damage. A Freedom hot melt system with four
hoses weighs approximately 68 kg (150 lb). Nordson Corporation
recommends selecting a mounting location that will support a system weight
of at least 113 kg (250 lb).
1. Select a level mounting location that will support the weight of the
complete system.
2. Drill and tap holes as shown in Figure 3‐6 for the six M6 x 25 mounting
screws and the M5 bottom support knob supplied in the ship‐with kit.
3. Use the M6 screws, lock washers, and hex nuts to install the mounting
bracket at the mounting location.
