Enabling/Disabling the EcoBead Capability
Freedom systems using the EcoBead capability can provide adhesive
savings of up to 60% while still maintaining full adhesive bond integrity. As
the Freedom system operates, the control system learns the adhesive
application pattern. When enabled, the EcoBead capability switches the
signal to the applicator to produce a stitched adhesive pattern, resulting in
the user‐specified amount of adhesive savings. Refer to Setting Up the
EcoBead Capability in Section 4, Setup, to enter EcoBead settings.
1. From the Home screen, touch the applicator button for which you want to
enable the EcoBead capability, then touch EcoBead Settings.
2. Touch Basic Settings to enable the EcoBead capability for the selected
applicator
or
touch Follow Mode to disable the EcoBead capability for the selected
applicator.
If an applicator is stitching, the corresponding applicator button shows a
stitched yellow bead in the bottom left corner.
3. Repeat steps 1-2 for each applicator that is set up for EcoBead operation.
