Fill System Installation
The fill system includes the adhesive storage bin, the transfer hose and its
associated solenoid harness and pump, and, in the case of multiple‐melter
systems, the sequencer:
If your system has only one melter and adhesive storage bin,
complete the steps under Connect to a Single‐Feed Adhesive
Storage Bin.
If your system has more than one melter and adhesive storage bin,
complete the steps under Connect to a Multi‐Feed Adhesive Storage
Bin.
Before installing the fill system, refer to Melter Installation earlier in this
section to install the melter.
Connect to a Single‐Feed Adhesive Storage Bin
To connect the adhesive transfer hose to the melter
1. Make sure the the hydraulics cover is removed. Refer to Removing or
Installing Covers in Section6, Maintenance, as needed.
2. See Figure 3‐30. Fully insert the hose cuff (2) into the cyclone upper
body(1) and then turn the hose retaining ring (3) clockwise until it is tight.
NOTE: To disconnect the hose, turn the retaining ring counterclockwise.
3. Reinstall the hydraulics cover.
