EcoBead Capability Troubleshooting Table
Problem Possible Cause Corrective Action
1. EcoBead capability
not enabling
EcoBead disabled or firmware
upgraded
Check the EcoBead settings and
enable the EcoBead capability.
2. Output not stitching Follow mode on Select Basic Settings and enter
EcoBead parameters. Refer to
Setting Up the EcoBead Capability in
Section 4, Setup.
Input bead intervals too fast to
stitch
Select a bead pattern that reduces
the number of stitched beads. Refer
to Setting Up the EcoBead Capability
in Section 4, Setup.
EcoBead capability unable to learn
pattern from pattern controller
Confirm this possible cause by
observing that the respective
EcoBead output LED is yellow (both
green and red on), indicating that it is
in the learning mode. Refer to Circuit
Board Component Tables in this
section.
Make sure the value entered for
Beads per Pattern matches the
output of the pattern controller.
Make sure the applicator input signal
does not have too much jitter
(variation in timing). To maintain a
stitched output, signal jitter must not
exceed 10 percent.
Noise interfering with signal Check cables and connections for
electrical noise that may be interfering
with the signal. Route cables away
from noise sources.
