Replacing the Pump
You will need the following items:
 Pump service kit
 13‐mm wrench or adjustable wrench
 5‐mm hex key
 Phillips‐head screwdriver
 12‐mm socket and ratchet
Refer to Section 9, Parts, for service kit part numbers.
To prepare for this procedure
1. Relieve system pressure. Refer to Relieving System Pressure in
Section6, Maintenance, as needed.
2. Switch off the melter and disconnect and lock out input power to the
melter.
3. Remove the hydraulics cover. Refer to Removing or Installing Covers in
Section 6, Maintenance, as needed.
4. See Figure 8‐23. Open the insulation and use a 13-mm wrench or an
adjustable wrench to close the shutoff valve.
