Obtaining Event Log and Diagnostic Files
Follow this procedure to:
Obtain a csv version of the event log, allowing you to easily view the file in
most any spreadsheet program. Refer to About the EventLog.csv File.
Obtain a diagnostic file that you can send to your Nordson service
representative to help resolve melter issues. Refer to About the
Diagnostic.nor File.
Refer to the previous procedure, Displaying Diagnostics (the Event Log) to
view specific events on the touchscreen.
NOTE: To make use of the saved log files, you must have a computer with
an SD card device with read/write capability.
To obtain the eventlog.csv and diagnostic.nor files
1. From the Home screen, touch Master Controls > System >
Administration > Display/Save Diagnostics.
NOTE: You can also access the Display/Save Diagnostics screen by
touching the System Status button on the Home screen.
2. Touch Complete Event Log—CEL.
NOTE: The entire event log is saved regardless of which filter you select.
3. Touch Next, then touch Save File. A pop‐up appears to confirm when
the files have been saved to the customer SD card.
