Replacing the Tilt Switch
You will need the following items:
Tilt switch service kit
5‐mm hex key
Phillips‐head screwdriver
Refer to Section 9, Parts, for service kit part numbers.
To prepare for this procedure
1. Switch off the melter and disconnect and lock out input power to the
melter.
2. Remove the hydraulics cover. Refer to Removing or Installing Covers in
Section 6, Maintenance, as needed.
To remove the tilt switch
1. See Figure 8‐16. Remove the two screws that secure the tilt switch
actuator (2) to the melter chassis and remove the actuator.
2. Remove the two screws that secure the tilt switch harness (3) to the top
pump bracket and remove the harness.
3. Disconnect the bulkhead harness connector from the top left side of the
hydraulics enclosure (1).
