– Repair wire/connector if defective. If wires
test good and there was a fault code, try a
new ECM. If wires test good and there was
no fault code, try a new VCM.
– If it does not read proper voltage, check conti-
nuity of injector supply and signal circuits as per
following table.

Resistance Test
Ensure injector is connected and safety lanyard is
removed from DESS post. Disconnect the VCM
connectors 5 and 7.
Using a multimeter, check resistance value be-
tween terminals as follows.

If resistance value is incorrect, check/repair wiring
harness/connectors. Repair/replace as necessary.
Recheck resistance value. If still not within spec-
ifications, replace fuel injector.
