Subsection 01 (JET PUMP)

1. Apply antiseize on threads

Using 2 screws previously removed from venturi,

secure the impeller shaft holder tool (P/N 295 000

082) to housing.

Install the impeller shaft holder tool in a vise.

To ease impeller installation, apply BOMBARDIER

LUBE (P/N 293 600 016) on wear ring.

Apply Loctite 767 (antiseize lubricant) (P/N 293

800070)onimpellershaftthreads.

Insert impeller into wear ring. Manually rotate im-

peller and push so that it slides on impeller shaft

threads. Carefully engage threads making sure

they are well aligned.

Install the impeller remover/installer tool (P/N 295

000 001) into impeller splines and tighten.

CAUTION: Make sure thrust washer and bear-

ing are not wedged in shaft groove. To check,

manually pull and push jet pump housing,

some axial play must be felt.

Torque impeller to 115 N•m(85lbf•ft) then re-

move tools.

CAUTION: Never use any impact wrench to

tighten impeller.

Apply synthetic grease (P/N 293 550 010) on im-

peller splines.

Insert a new boot no. 2 and impeller ring no. 18

to impeller.

Install spring no. 19 on slider no. 20.
