2.2.3 Autarkic yarn carriers
The machine is equipped with autarkic yarn carriers - the yarn carriers are
not taken along by the carriage but instead each yarn carrier has its own
drive. A toothed belt (1) moves the yarn carrier synchronously with the
carriage or freely, regardless of the carriage direction. A second motor
controls the height of the yarn carrier.
On each yarn carrier rail there are four yarn carriers - two on the front side
and two on the back side.
Each yarn carrier will be individually controlled with the help of the two
motors.

together with the carriage.

The yarn carrier moves without the carriage
 Variable insert position
The insert position of the thread in the needles is
programmable and this way it can be adapted to
the yarn material, the pattern and the work step.
Intarsia and plating patterns are possible without
special yarn carriers.
