7 Repairing the knitting machine
7.6 Needle selection displacement
7.6.1 Preparations
Stop the carriage after the left reversing position.
With tandem machine: Couple carriage narrow.
Cast-off the stitches on both needle beds.
Remove the needle brushes on the front and rear carriage part.
The test series is required for all the impulse sensors of the machine -
with a tandem machine there are four impulse sensors.
For the check you need a small knitting program.
Example for a 3-system machine.
Line 30: Check of the front impulse sensor
Line 40: Check of the rear impulse sensor
If you have a 2-system machine simply leave out the indication "S3" for
the third knitting system in the lines 30 and 40.
