6.5.24.1 Parameters
All global and user snapshots may be saved on a central le server. This is
a convenient feature whenever a user works on several different consoles;
no matter on which console he is currently logged in, he has access to his
snapshots. On this page all parameters for accessing this server can be con-
gured.
Note: Requirements for snapshots on a le server:
• SMB le server (Windows 2003 server not supported yet), and
• WINS server must be present within the network.
Remote Share The share made available by the server is entered here.
Remote Path Entry of the remote path is optional.
Username / Password For login on the le server, the required domain and user names and password
are entered here.
Snapshot Location Selects the location of the snapshots displayed in the user GUI; either Local,
i.e. in the console memory, or Remote, i.e. on the le server.
InitialSnapshot: Loading Input Fader Gain
If set to Off, the initial snapshot does not contain the input fader values; i.e.
when powering the console on, the input fader values (or fader positions in
case of optional motor faders) remain as they are. If set to On, the input fader
values/positions are saved with the initial snapshot and become updated with
the saved values when the console is powered on.
UserSnapshot: Loading Input Fader Gain
If set to Off, the user snapshots do not contain the input fader values; i.e.
when loading a user snapshot, the input fader values (or fader positions in
case of optional motor faders) remain as they are. If set to On, the input fader
values/positions are saved with the user snapshot and become updated with
the saved values when the snapshot is loaded to the console.
