5.8.6 I/O Sharing
The OnAir 2500’s audio I/O sharing allows routing a physical audio input to
more than one logical audio input.
If a physical audio input has unique resources (such as the microphone gain
in a microphone input) and if this physical audio input is routed to more than
one logical audio input, controlling these resources is working in parallel on
all the corresponding channel strips.
For I/O sharing details and configuration, refer to chapter 6.5.20.
5.8.7 Codec Management
5.8.7.1 Operation
External Line Selection External lines (four-wire connections, i.e. logical inputs controlling an N–X)
and external inputs (two-wire connections, logical inputs without N–X con-
trol) from the central router have been added to the grouping of internal sourc-
es (MIC, LINE, AES/EBU, ADAT, etc.) in the input selection dialog.
External line 9...16 opens a list of external lines for selection.
