4.7 Optional External Units
External PSU An external 19”/1U power supply unit for quasi-redundant operation is avail-
able as an option. A 5 m cable for the DC connection is supplied.
Studio Monitoring/TB Module For monitoring and talkback in a separate studio, a Monitoring/Talkback
module 1.943.444 or 1.943.447 (without PFL) can be connected to the con
-
sole. Connecting cables are supplied (one ADAT and one Cat5 cable).
Extended Line (XL) Module The XL module allows direct communication to up to twelve outside sources.
It features 12 eight-digit alphanumeric displays for source label indication,
12 keys each for PFL of and TB to these individual destinations, and a rotary
encoder for individual and sum volume control. In a typical application during
e.g. a sports event or elections, communication with many outside locations
needs to be controlled. The XL module gives a fast and ergonomic way to
fullling this task.
Headphones Amplier Box This compact headphones amp can be tted on top of or under a table with
respective mounting brackets, next to a guest. It may be connected directly to
a line output of the console and features a local amplier with volume control.
In addition a talkback signal with separate volume control can be enabled
and brought to the guest headphones, heard in split mode and controlled via
a GPO signal.
GPIO Boxes Two types of general-purpose desktop boxes in the OnAir 2500 design, both
with an illuminated key, and one of them with three additional LEDs are
available for many different applications, e.g. cough key, control of external
devices, etc. The keys may directly be connected to GPIs, the LEDs to GPOs,
and congured for the respective task in the conguration menu.
