Press and hold it for a while to calibrate the touch screen of PSS-AS.
Monitoring Speaker:
This embedded speaker to play chime when paging or monitor signal from audio processor, it
needs to work with RS485 output component to get audio signal from other DSP components in
audio processor.
3.2.1.2.2 Rear/Side Panel
Jack Audio Output:
External loudspeaker 1/8 inch jack output.
Jack Audio Input:
External microphone 1/8 inch jack input.
Telephone Input:
Allows the connection of a telephone type microphone.
PDC Connector:
RJ-45 connector to link to the PDC port.
3.2.1.2.3 Connection with PPM JB Junction Box
The wiring examples of connecting to PSS-AS via PPM JB junction box on IDA8, ECS, LAPGT2
processor can be the points as below,
Connect with one PSS-AS with a distance of 300M.
Connect with one PSS-AS with a distance of 600M.
Please refer to Connection with PSS-AS chapter.
3.2.1.2.4 Configuration
Create PSS-AS Object
1. Open or create a Ateis studio configuration file.
2. Drag the audio processor to the design window to create the audio processor object.
3. Drag PSS-AS to the design window to create PPM AS object.
4. Wiring to connect green pins between PSS AS object and audio processor.
5. Go to [Machine Setting] on Device Management window and select the device port to [PSS/
RWD AIO] on [RS485 Protocol].
6. Then click [Write] button to complete this step. Please see the Picture 2 below.
If the port the system is connect to is not the PSS, please remember to reset to [Normal].
