The FAULT LED blinks when the PSS-AS unit has lost communication with audio
processor. First, check the information and diagnosed description displayed on [Status Bar]
of PSS-AS, then move to the following steps listed below and find out the solution that
meets your problem.
1. Check whether the PSS-AS has been connected with audio processor in the configuration
table.
2. Check whether the RS485 protocol on [Machine Setting] function has been selected to
[PSS/RWD AIO] option, and meets your installed port for PSS-AS(this setting is only for
Ateis Global version software).
3. If the device still cannot work with the audio processor, it might result from the broken
device or cables. When facing this problem, please contact our Ateis Local personnel,
see Contact Information.
3.2.1.2.6.2 No Connection via Ateis Studio/IDA8 & ECS & LAPG2T Controller
Issue (the PSS-AS is unable to connect by Ateis Studio)
This situations happen when the PSS-AS unit isn't been searched and listed on [Device
Management] window or somehow the PSS-AS unit has no response on its front panel
screen.
Please follow the instruction in [How to Solve] chapter and check whether the solution meets
your requirements.
Either can users manually modified the problem or our technical personnel will aid you with
service by checking and repairing the problem.
Connection - PSS-AS and IDA8 controller
1. Check whether the Power LED on PSS-AS lights up or not.
2. Check whether the PSS-AS is connected to and powered by the external power supply
(24VDC). An incorrect voltage could damage the equipment or cause an electric shock.
Please note that different operating voltages require the use of different types of power cable
and plugs.
3. Check whether the CAT5 cable comply with the existing RJ45 connector on IDA8 controller.
The cable must be firmly connected.
If the wiring between PSS-AS and IDA8 controller is correct, please continue moving to Step 2 -
Software & Firmware Setting.
If users cannot diagnose the connection problem, please move to Step 4 - Contact Service in order
to prevent from causing any hazard personal incident or other uncertainty happen.

Software Version
The different software and firmware version PSS-AS and Ateis Studio) shall also cause no signal
response on PSS-AS.
Check Software
Check the version of your PSS AS and IDA8 by 2 types of the differentiation below.
1. By Ateis Studio software > Device Management window
Users can check whether the PSS-AS unit is well connected to IDA8 controller and
searched via Ateis Studio software. If it's not under the normal connection, it's probably the
version of your Ateis studio isn't match with your PSS-AS. See the picture below,
