For the operation with trailed agricultural machines, twin crossbar TSU-1Zh-01 6 (Fig-
ure 3.12.12) with pivot 7 is supplied against order to add to the telescopic lower links. Its tips
5 are hereby installed instead of rear ends of links 4 (the eyelet is mounted on the middle
holes of tips 5 of the twin crossbar). The distance from the end of the PTO to the kingpin
(coupling point) in this configuration will be 470 mm. If necessary, this distance can be ad-
justed in steps within ± 80 mm from the middle position by changing the length of the tele-
scopic links.
Note - The main parameters and characteristics of the TSU-1Zh-01 are presented in
subsection 3.13 "Tow hitches".
3.12.3 Attaching implements to the tractor
When attaching implements to the tractor, make sure that there is no one in the im-
plement attaching area. Using the RLL controls, put lower links down to the desired position
and connect the lower link joints to the implement, and then, using a pin, the upper link joint.
To adjust the implement in the transverse plane, use the right lifting rod. Adjustment in the
longitudinal plane to equalize the depth of travel of the front and rear working bodies of the
attachable implement is carried out by changing the length of the upper link by way of rotat-
ing the link pipe in the appropriate direction.
Final adjustments to machines shall be made in the field.
Before starting work, you should check that:
- tractor parts are not dangerously close to the implement components;
- the upper link does not touch the PTO guard at the lowest position of the implement;
- the cardan drive from the PTO is not excessively long, with large pivot angles and
that there are no expansion forces;
- the PTO guard does not touch the machine cardan drive guard;
- slowly raise the implement and check the availability of gaps between the tractor
and the implement in the raised position;
- check the availability of the required lateral swing of the lower links and, if necessary,
adjust by means of buckles.
WARNING: SOME MOUNTED OR SEMI-MOUNTED EQUIPMENT CAN CONTACT
AND DAMAGE THE CAB. THIS COULD CAUSE DAMAGE TO CABIN GLASSES AND IN-
JURY OF THE OPERATOR. CHECK FOR THE PRESENCE OF SUFFICIENT GAP (NOT
LESS THAN 100 MM) BETWEEN THE IMPLEMENT RAISED TO THE UPPER POSITION,
AND THE OPERATOR'S CAB!
Attach machines (implements) to the tractor also by means of an automatic hitch SA-
1, connected to the tractor lift linkage at three points (two rear pivots of the lower links and a
rear pivot of the upper link).
