6.2 Providing access to tractor components for maintenance
6.2.1 Providing access to the tractor components for maintenance of tractors with a metal
bonnet.
Before carrying out maintenance work, it is necessary to remove both sidewalls 10
and 11 (Figure 6.2.1), the monocyclone and lift bonnet 6.
To remove the monocyclone, pull it up.
To remove sidewalls 10 and 11, do the following:
- open locks 17 in four places;
- remove sidewalls 10 and 11, first lifting them.
To raise bonnet 6, do the following:
- release lock 8 from engagement with bracket 9 by pulling handle 7 towards you;
- raise bonnet 6;
- fix bonnet 6 in the open position, using rod 3 in bracket 4;
WARNING: BEFORE PERFORMING ANY MAINTENANCE OPERATION UNDER
THE BONNET, MAKE SURE IT IS SECURE IN THE RAISED POSITION!
To provide access to components and parts located directly under bonnet 6 (in the
closed position) in the front part of the tractor, the following must be done:
- unscrew bolts 1 in two places;
- remove grill 2.
To install grill 2 on bonnet 6, do the following:
- install grill 2 and secure with bolts 1 in two places.
To lower and close bonnet 6, do the following:
- slightly lift bonnet 6 to release rod 3 from bracket 4;
- secure rod 3 in clamp 5 on bonnet 6;
- take bonnet 6 to the lower position until there is a specific click (lock 8 is triggered).
To install sidewalls 10 and 11, do the following:
- install hooks 12 and 14 on sidewalls 10 and 11 in four places onto brackets 13 and
15;
- snap locks 17 into latches 16 in four places until a specific click is heard (the lock is
triggered).
