When changing the driven plate with asbestos-free linings for a driven plate with metal-
ceramic segments, it is necessary to simultaneously replace the clutch plate assembly
(backing plate 10 (Figure 3.2.1) along with pressure plate 3) with nine main 21 and six ad-
ditional springs 20 for clutch plate assembly (backing plate 10 with pressure plate 3)
equipped with only nine main springs 21.
3.2.2.2 Dismantling the clutch
Dismantling the clutch is carried out after the engine has been disconnected from the
transmission in the following order:
- install three technological bolts (М12х40) screwing them into pressure plate 3 (Fig-
ure 3.2.2) through the technological holes of backing plate 6;
- unscrew the nuts attaching the backing plate to the flywheel and remove the clutch
plate assembly (backing plate 6 with pressure plate 3);
- remove driven plate 2.
3.2.2.3 Installation of the clutch
Clutch installation is carried out in the following order:
- install driven plate 2 (Figure 3.2.2) with its long end of the hub towards flywheel 1;
- install the clutch plates assembly (backing plate 6 with pressure plate 3) on the
flywheel pins with bushings 10, secure with nuts (tightening torque from 70 to 90 Nm);
- install the technological mandrel and unscrew the technological bolts.
- adjust the position of release levers 5.
3.2.2.4 Adjustment of clutch release levers
The clutch release levers should be adjusted as follows:
- by screwing or unscrewing adjusting nuts 8, adjust the position of the release levers
for a size of 13±0.5 mm from the bearing surfaces of the levers to the butt end of the backing
plate hub. The difference in size for individual levers should be no more than 0.3 mm;
- after adjusting the levers, install locking plates 7 and secure them with bolts;
- remove the mandrel.
