6.4.4 Maintenance services in every 500 hours of operation
6.4.4.1 General guidelines
Perform the following operations and the operations, listed in the present subsection 6.4.4.
6.4.4.2 Operation 31. Check of oil level in the main gear housing and wheel gear
groups of the FDA
Note – Operation shall be carried out only for BELARUS-892.2 tractor.
Before oil level check in wheel gear groups and main gear housings of FDA, place
the tractor on level horizontal ground, the engine shall be killed. Engage the parking brake
and lock the wheels against movement fore and after by anti-recoil limit stops, excluding
tractor self-movement.
To check oil level in wheel gear groups housings and main gear casing of FDA with
planetary-cylindrical wheel gear groups, perform the following:
- to check oil level in wheel gear groups unscrew the level check/fill plugs 1
(Figure 6.4.27) in the wheel gear group housing 2;
- oil level shall reach the lower edges of check-fill plugs 1 openings;
- if it is necessary, refill the oil up to the necessary level;
- insert the check-fill plugs 1 in their places.

- to check oil level in main gear housing unscrew the level check/fill plugs 1 (Figure
6.4.28) in one of the axle tubes;
- check the oil level reaches the lower edge of check/fill plug 1 opening;
- if it is necessary, refill the oil up to the necessary level;
- insert the check/fill plug 1 in its place.
