7.7 Possible failures in pneumatic system and guidelines for troubleshooting
List of possible failures in pneumatic system and guidelines for troubleshooting are
shown in Table 7.7.1.

Slow build-up of pressure in the cylinder
Air leakage from pneumatic system:
nuts of pipelines, fittings, coupling
clamps are poorly tighten or damaged
Find out leakage sites and eliminate them
by tightening couplings or replacing dam-
aged parts
rubber sealing of connecting head is
damaged;
Replace damaged sealing
nut of connecting head sealing ring is
loose;
Tighten it
mud under connecting head valve ; Clean it
contact of dust-protecting cover with
valve rod of the connecting head;
Eliminate it
disturbed adjustment of valve drive
Adjust the brake valve drive as specified in sec-
tion 3.8.2.2 “Check and adjustment of pneu-
matic system brake valve drive”
disturbed operation of pressure control-

Dismount it and send to workshop for repair.
