3.13 Tow hitches
3.13.1 General information
The tow hitch of the BELARUS-892/892.2 with draft control unit can be equipped with
coupling units TSU-2 (hydraulic hook), TSU-1M (pendulum), TSU-1M-02 (combined unit hydrau-
lic hook+ pendulum), lowering link, TSU-1Zh (crossbar) and TSU-1Zh-01 (twin crossbar) ensur-
ing coupling and transporting of trailed and semi-trailed machines (if TSU-2 is installed –
semitrailers also), the coupling devices of which correspond to the following requirements:
- compatibility according to the coupling dimensions;
- machines are equipped with rigid coupling devices;
- draft poles of trailers are equipped with a device making the procedure of cou-
pling/uncoupling with the tow hitch of the tractor easier;
- coupling units of the semitrailers have an adjustable support.
Installation variant scheme of TSU-2 (hydraulic hook) and TSU-1M-02 with hydraulic
hook in the operating position is shown in Figure 3.13.1.

The rules for repositioning of hydraulic hook TSU-2 and pendulum TSU-1M in the
combined unit TSU-1M-02 from additional position into operation position and from opera-
tion position into additional position are given in subsection 3.13.9 “Repositioning of coupling
elements in combined unit TSU-1M-02”.
Basic parameters of tow hitches shown in Tables and in Figures of subsection 3.13
„Tow hitches“ are given with standard rear tires (18.4R34 (F-11) – both single and twin
mounted to the tractors with FDA 822-2300020-02/04; 16.9R38 – both single and twin mounted
to the tractors with FDA 72-2300020-А-04) and with standard static radius, specified by the
tire manufacturer.
