7. Possible failures and guidelines for troubleshooting
7.1 Possible failures and guidelines for troubleshooting
The list of possible engine failures of BELARUS-892/892.2 tractors and instructions for their
troubleshooting are shown in Table 7.1.1.
The identification of engine and turbocharger failures is given in Table 7.1.2.

The diesel engine does not develop full power

Filtering element of fine fuel filter is clogged. Replace filtering element.
Faulty injectors. Find the faulty injectors, wash and adjust them.
Wrong fuel injection advance angle. Set the recommended injection advance angle.

Fuel pump is out of order Remove fuel pump off the engine and send
it to a workshop for repair
Decreased boost pressure Remove the turbocharger from the engine
