2.6 Pilot lamp units
There are two units of pilot lamps 5 (Figure 2.1.1) installed in the dashboard of the BELA-
RUS-892/892.2 tractor. Each pilot lamp unit has six pilot lamps and one button to check the
serviceability of pilot lamps.
The layout of pilot lamps and buttons in the pilot lamp unit is provided in Figure 2.6.1.
1, 14 – button to check serviceability of pilot lamps; 2 – pilot lamp of max. impurity of
air cleaner filter (orange); 3, 4, 7, 9, 10 – unused pilot lamps, 5 – pilot lamp indicating oper-
ation of heating plugs (orange); 6 – pilot lamp of emergency oil pressure drop in the system
of hydrostatic steering control (red color); 8 – pilot lamp of road light high beam; 11 – pilot
lamp of tractor turn blinkers; 12 – pilot lamp of trailer turn blinkers; 13 – pilot lamp indicating
the actuation of parking brake.
Figure 2.6.1 – Pilot lamp units
The operation principle of pilot lamps in the pilot lamp unit is the following:
- as you press button 1 (Figure 2.6.1) all the lamps of the left pilot lamp unit shall turn on. As
you press button 14 all the lamps of the right pilot lamp unit shall turn on. If one of six pilot lamps in
use (2,5,6,8,11,12 or 13) is off – it is required to install a non-faulty lamp or replace the pilot lamp
unit (if LEDs are installed);
- pilot lamp of max. impurity of air cleaner filter 2 lights up when the max. permissible
level of filter impurity is exceeded and it requires cleaning or replacement;
- pilot lamp of heating plugs shows operation of heating plugs (operation algorithm of
heating plug pilot lamp is shown in subsection 3.14.2 “Operation of heating plugs”);
- pilot lamp of road light high beam 8 lights up as you turn on the road light high beam;
- indicators of tractor and trailer turn blinkers 11 and 12 operate in a flashing mode
when you activate the right or the left turn with underwheel switch 1 (Figure 2.2.1) or when
you push warning alarm switch 2;
- pilot lamp indicating the actuation of the parking brake 13 (Figure 2.6.1) operates in a flash-
ing mode with 1 Hz frequency as the parking brake actuation sensor goes off;
- pilot lamp 6 of emergency oil pressure drop in the system of hydrostatic steering control
lights up as the pressure in the hydraulics of the HSC drops below 0.08 MPa (it is possible that
the lamp 6 may periodically light up at minimal engine speed – as you increase the speed the
lamp 6 shall go out).
