3.7.4 Adjustment of parking brake control
Checking the effectiveness of the parking brake consists in the fact that the tractor
must hold on a slope of at least 18% when applying force of no more than 400 N to parking
brake control lever 8 (Figure 3.7.6). If this requirement is not met, it is necessary to adjust
the parking brake control.
Before adjusting the parking brake control, place the tractor on a flat horizontal
ground. The engine must be off. Block the wheels from moving in front and behind with
wheel chocks to prevent spontaneous movement of the tractor.
ATTENTION: ADJUSTING THE PARKING BRAKE CONTROL MUST BE PER-
FORMED AFTER ADJUSTING THE SERVICE BRAKE CONTROL!
