6.2.4 Configuring the VLAN Egress List
Purpose
To assign or remove ports on the VLAN egress list for the device. This determines which ports will
transmit frames of a particular VLAN. For example, ports 1, 5, 9, 8 could be assigned to transmit
frames with VLAN ID=5.
The port egress type for all ports defaults to tagging transmitted frames, but can be changed to
untagged. When a port is set to untagged, the port will transmit frames without a tag header. This
setting is usually set to configure a port connected to an end user device.
Commands
The commands used to configure VLAN egress are listed below and described in the associated
section as shown.
• set vlan egress (Section 6.2.4.1)
• clear vlan egress (Section 6.2.4.2)
