This quick reference guide provides an alphabetical listing of CLI tasks, each with a brief
description of command function and syntax. The section number included in each description
links to the corresponding page in this guide where more detailed information about the command
can be found.
A.2 CLI TASKS, COMMANDS AND SYNTAX
CLI Task Command Function and Syntax
ARP (clear)
Deletes a specific entry or all entries from the device’s ARP (Address
Resolution Protocol) table. For details, refer to Section 9.2.3.3.
clear arp [hostname or A.B.C.D]
ARP (set)
Adds mapping entries to the device’s ARP table. For details, refer to
Section 9.2.3.2.
set arp ip_addr hw_addr [temp] [pub] [trail]
ARP (show)
Displays the device’s ARP table. For details, refer to Section 9.2.3.1.
show arp
CDP (set)
Enables or disables the CDP discovery protocol on one or more ports.
For details, refer to Section 9.2.1.4.
set cdp {auto | disable | enable} [port_string]
CDP (show)
Displays the state of the CDP discovery protocol and message interval
on one or more ports. For details, refer to Section 9.2.1.3.
show cdp [port_string]
