9.2.3.7 show mac
Use this command to display MAC addresses contained in the device’s source address table.
show mac [address mac address] [fid vlan_Id ] [port port_string] [type {learned
| self | mgmt}]
Syntax Description
Command Defaults
If no parameters are specified, all MAC addresses for the device will be displayed.
Command Mode
Read-Only.
address (Optional) Specifies that the MAC address designated by
mac address will be shown.
mac address (Optional) Specifies the MAC address to be shown (if it is
known by the device).
fid (Optional) Specifies that MAC addresses for a filter
database identifier as designated by vlan_id will be shown.
vlan_id (Optional) Specifies the number identifying the VLAN.
port (Optional) Specifies the MAC addresses for the port(s)
designated by port_string will be shown.
port_string (Optional) Specifies the port designation for which to show
MAC addresses. For a detailed description of possible
port_string values, refer to Section 4.1.2.
type (Optional) Specifies that addresses of only a certain type
will be shown. Valid types are:
• learned Show the addresses of type learned only.
• self Show the addresses of type self only.
• mgmt Show the addresses of type mgmt only.
