Network Management
This chapter describes the Network Management set of commands and how to use them.
9.1 PROCESS OVERVIEW: NETWORK MANAGEMENT
Network Management tasks include the following:
• Managing General Device Settings (Section 9.2.1)
• Monitoring Network Events and Statistics (Section 9.2.2)
• Managing Network Addresses and Routes (Section 9.2.3)
9.2 NETWORK MANAGEMENT COMMAND SET
9.2.1 Managing General Device Settings
Purpose
To clear the configuration stored in NVRAM, to repeat commands, to enable or disable CDP
discovery protocol settings, and to reset the Matrix E1 device.
Commands
Commands to manage general device settings are listed below and described in the associated
section as shown.
• clear config (Section 9.2.1.1)
• reset (Section 9.2.1.2)
• show cdp (Section 9.2.1.3)
• set cdp (Section 9.2.1.4)
• set cdp interval (Section 9.2.1.5)
