14.3.2 Starting the task
Ê Perform the following procedures:
1. "Opening the rack door" on page 40
2. "Shutting down the server" on page 41
3. "Sliding the server out of the rack" on page 42
4. "Removing the rear cover" on page 46
5. If required to access the installation place: Remove the expansion cards,
see "Expansion cards and BBU" on page 105
I Before removing the expansion cards, take a note on the
installation slot number for each card. Make sure that you reinstall
the card in the slot it was located before the replacement.
14.3.3 Removing the UFM

Ê Remove the SAS and BBU cable(s) for a convenient access to the mounting
location of the UFM.
Ê Remove the nylon screw on the defective UFM board.
Ê Disconnect and remove the defective UFM board.
I The metal spacer remains on the baseboard.
