16.2 Mounting order for SSD and HDD modules
Basic rules for the mounting order of solid state drives and hard disk drives:
1. If solid state drives and hard disk drives are to be installed, the solid state
drives are installed first.
2. Solid state drives with different capacities are installed from highest to lowest
capacity.
3. Hard disk drives with different capacities are installed from highest to lowest
capacity.
4. Hard disk drives with different rotation speeds are installed from highest to
lowest speed.
5. If drives using SAS bus technology and drives using SATA bus technology
are to be installed, drives using SAS bus technology are installed first.
6. HDD/SSD modules are installed as indicated in figure 251. Begin with
HDD/SSD bay #0 in the left down corner.
7. Install dummy modules into unpopulated HDD/SSD bays.
