15.5 Replacing the SAS cable, the SATA cable,
the front video connector cable, or the front
USB cable
I The baseboard is optionally equipped with a Trusted Platform Module
(TPM). This module enables programs from third party manufacturers to
store key information, for example drive encryption using Windows
Bitlocker Drive Encryption.
The TPM is activated via the BIOS system, see BIOS manual for the
D3144 system board.
15.5.1 Required tools
● Starting and completing the task:
– key for the rack doors (if applicable)
– Phillips Ph2 screw driver
● Replacing the SAS cable, the SATA cable, the front video connector cable,
or the front USB cable:
– Phillips Ph0 screw driver
– Phillips Ph2 screw driver
Authorized personnel
Authorized specialist personnel can carry out replacement tasks for
integral server components. Ask you local Fujitsu service center for
more detailed information.
V CAUTION!
Procedures indicated as "Authorized personnel only“ must be
done by Fujitsu service personnel or technicians trained by
Fujitsu for doing these tasks. Please note that unauthorized
interference with the system will void the warranty and exempt
the manufacturer from all liability.
