Basic procedures
Ê Pull the server carefully out of the rack as far as possible (2).
V CAUTION!
Do not use the pulled-out server as a surface on which to put things
or as a work surface, and strictly avoid leaning on or against it.
Removing the server from the rack (if applicable)
V CAUTION!
Due to the heavy weight, it is mandatory to use a suitable lifter for
removing the RX900 S2 from the rack.
Do not use the front handles to raise the server as they are not designed
to bear the weight of the unit. The front handles are only to be used for
pushing the server into the rack or pulling it out of the rack.
Ê Slide the server onto the lifter platform.
V CAUTION!
Due to the heavy weight, a suitable lifter is required to remove the
server from the rack. Make sure that the lifter is locked in place before
you start to slide the server.
Ê Release the locking mechanism of both rails (3).
– Left side oft the server: Push upwards
– Right side of the server: Push downwards
Ê Slide the inner part of the rail mounted on the server out of the middle part
of the rail as far as possible. The server will now be placed on the lifter.
