Data dependencies
WhenusingSaveAll,“SavePCG&SNG,”andSave
PCGtosaveCombinations,youshouldalsoremember
tosavetheProgramsusedbyeachtimbre(ortheDrum
KitsandWaveSequencesusedbythePrograms)atthe
sametime.
SimilarlywhensavingPrograms,youshouldalso
remembertosavetheDrumKi
tsandWaveSequences
usedbytheprograms.
Note:Ifyourprogramsordrumkitsusemultisamples
andsamplesthatwerecreatedinonKRONOS,we
recommendthatyouuseSaveAlltosavethedata.
WhenyouuseSavePCGorSaveSamplingDatato

recommendthatyousavethemunderthesame
filenameinthesamedirectory.Whenyouuse“Load

Saving only a single bank of sounds
Youcanalsochoosetosaveonlyasinglebankof
sounds,orjustafewbanks,withoutsavinganyother
data.Todoso:
1. GototheSavepage,andselectthediskand
directoryintowhichyou’dliketostorethe
sounds.

2. SelecttheSave.PCGcommandfromthepage
menu.
TheSavePCGDatadialogappears.
3. PresseachSelectionbutton,andinthedialogbox
thatappears,selectonlythebanksthatyou’dlike
tosave.

4. Un‐checktheGlobalSettingandSetListcheck‐

Using the KRONOS as a data filer
TheKRONOScanreceiveMIDISystemExclusivedata
sentbyanexternaldevice,andsavethisdatatomedia.

Formatting media
Newlypurchasedmediaormediathathasbeenused
byanotherdevicemaynotbeabletobeused“asis.”In
thiscase,youmayneedtoformatthemediabeforeyou
canuseitwiththeKRONOS.

alreadyformatted.
•WhencreatingaudioCDs,youdon’tne

toformat
theCD‐R/RWmedia.
Whenyouformat,alldatasavedonthatmediawill
beerased.Ifyouhadusedacomputeretc.tosetup
thatdrivesothatitcanbeusedasmultipledrives
(partitions),thisdatawillalsobeerased.Besu

double‐checkbeforeyouformat.
Afterformatting,itisnotpossibletopressthe
COMPAREswitchtoreturntothepreviousstate.
