2. Analog audio input connections
Youcanbringexternalanalogaudiosourcesintothe
KRONOSforsampling,recording,orprocessing
throughtheinternaleffects.

Thesetwoinputsuse1/4”TRSbalancedjacks,and
includepreampswithadjustablegain.Tosetupthe
audioinputs:
1. Connectyourmicsortheoutputjacksofyour
externalaudiosourcestotheINPUT1and2jacks.
2. SettheMIC/LINEswitchasappropriateforthe
deviceyou’veconnected,andusetheLEV
ELkn
ob
toadjustthegain.
ChoosetheLINEsetting(switchpressedinward)if
you’veconnectedamixer,computer,audiosystem,
signalprocessor,oranothersynthesizer.Forbest
results,usebalancedlineconnections.
Note:Guitarswithactivepickupscanbeconnected
directly.Guitarswithpassivepickups(i.e.,guitarsthat
donothav
eaninternalpreamp)canbeused,butthe
impedancemismatchwillcausebothachangeintone
andareductioninvolume.Forbestresults,routesuch
guitarsthroughapre‐amporeffectsunitbefore
connectingthem.
ChoosetheMICsetting(switchintheoutward
position)onlywhenconnectingami

.Notethatsome
microphones,suchascondensers,mayrequireexternal
phantompower,whichisnotsuppliedbythe
KRONOS.

TheKRONOSmainstereooutputcanbedigitally
transmittedtoanaudiosystem,digitalmixer,orother
devicethatcanacceptasamplingrateof48kHz.

4. Connecting Foot Pedals and Switches
Connecting a damper pedal

pedal.Itactslikethesimilarly‐namedpedalonan
acousticpiano;whenyouholddownthepedal,notes
willcontinuetosustainevenwhenyouliftyourhands
offofthekeyboard.
