To install a circuit board
CAUTION! Risk of personal injury. Failure to properly ground yourself can
cause electrostatic discharge, resulting in damage to the equipment.
1. Before removing a circuit board from its anti-static bag, ground yourself
by touching the chassis of the melter or another grounded structure.
2. Install the new board using the screws and associated hardware
removed previously or provided in the service kit.
3. If you are replacing the EcoBead board, make sure it is installed in the
orientation shown in Figure 8‐11.
4. Reconnect all power and control cables.
5. Copy the backup directory on the customer SD card to its root directory
as follows:
a.. Remove the customer SD card. See Figure 8‐11 for the location of
the customer SD card.
b.. Using an SD card reader and a personal computer, copy the most
recent *.dat file from the backup directory on the customer SD card to
the highest level (root) directory on the customer SD card.
c.. Reinstall the customer SD card. When the system is switched on, it
will automatically reprogram itself, including the newly installed board.
6. If you replaced the fill board, calibrate the level sensor. Refer to
Calibrating the Level Sensor in Section 7, Troubleshooting.
7. Reinstall the controls cover and restore the system to normal operation.
Verify that the system operates normally.
